Today I was continuing my seemingly never-ending project of going through the basement storage room at work. In typical basement style it is full of a great variety of all kinds of stuff that people have put down there over the years. Including myself, to be honest - as I cleaned out my kitchen.
Being the organizing "freak" that I am, I have been clearing off shelves a little at a time and trying to put things back in a neat and sensible manner. Good news: I found 2 food processors! The one I was using died last week and had to be returned to the store.
One of them works and has several attachments. Looks like it's from the 70's maybe. It's JC Penny brand in an almond color. I just saw one on Ebay listed as vintage that sold for $56.00, and others selling for $10 - $15 per part. Maybe I will move mine to the sell pile!
The other one just needed the belt adjusted for it to work. So thankful for a boss who likes to do those kinds of projects - and is good at it! We will keep a spare down in the basement because you never know when you will need a new one.
I would also like to trash/donate/sell things that we do not use. There's a big auction coming up in a few weeks so that's a huge motivation for me to get this job done. It's kind of an "out of sight, out of mind" problem. Since I am not down there every day I sometimes forget about it. From now on I will (try to) commit half an hour a day to working on it. Or maybe I will go in on the weekend when I don't have to be distracted by cooking and just bang it out in a few hours.
I'm hoping to find a blender down there as well!
Hurray for kitchen toys :)
